INSTRUCTORS DAVID HAGAN, PGA | RATE: $175 David, the Academy Director, has been working in the golf business for several years. He started his career at Grand Cypress as an Assistant golf professional in 2006 where he was able to learn from great teachers such as top 100 teacher Fred Griffin. The Grand Cypress Academy has been a top 25 golf school since 1999. After a few years of learning at Grand Cypress he moved to Long Island to become the First Assistant at Port Jefferson Country Club. While there he created many programs teaching mainly women and juniors. David kept a full lesson schedule all while running the daily operations of the club. In 2009 David decided to move to PGA WEST and focus on the operational side of the business for a few years as the Tournament Director at the Club at PGA WEST then as the First Assistant. For three years his focus was less on teaching and more on the members. In September of 2012 he accepted the Head Golf Professional position at the TPC Stadium and Jack Nicklaus Tournament courses. Along with that position the PGA WEST Golf Academy was given to him once he showed an interest to get back into the teaching side of being a golf professional. David has dedicated himself to making the PGA WEST Golf Academy one of the Top Academies in the country. When not on the lesson tee you will find David in the clubhouse working with the rest of the team. |
